Childpeace Montessori School, Portland
Childpeace Montessori School was established in 1976. It is a non-profit corporation, certified day care center, an Oregon Private School, and an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) recognized school. Housed in the YWCA for 12 years, the school grew from two to three classrooms in 1984 and added the Montessori Infant Community in 1986. In 1988 the Community moved to 105 NW Park Avenue where we held a lease for 15 years. In 1999, a fifth Children's House classroom was opened in the McAuley Terrace Assisted Living Facility in Southeast Portland.
